WORKPLACE STRESS & Trauma

When High functioning isn’t the same as Feeling ok.

Person with long hair wearing a hat sitting on a rocky cliff overlooking a valley and mountains, surrounded by trees and a misty sky, Stacy Taylor, LMFT somatic therapist.

You’re the one people turn to—reliable, accomplished, always moving forward. From the outside, it looks like you’ve got it all handled. But lately, the pressure has been building, and something inside feels off—anxiety, fatigue, or a quiet sense of disconnection. I work with high-capacity individuals like you to rewire the hidden patterns that may be holding you back. Together, we’ll cultivate peace, clarity, and vitality—so you can experience your life with more balance, authenticity, connection, and renewed momentum.

Stacy Taylor, LMFT, somatic experiencing, NARM, trauma therapist. Therapy for therapists. CA, CO, FL.

welcome! i’m stacy.

Your worth is beyond measure.

Clients often describe our work as 'magical'—it feels that way because we tap into the body’s innate wisdom, leading to profound change without the need to focus only on - “the stories”. This process leads to shifts in perception, deeper emotional regulation, and a greater sense of ease. While this can be challenging—real, raw, and vulnerable—it’s also liberating and empowering.  I strive to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood, with kindness, empathy, and thoughtful directness, helping you unlock your inner potential.

SPECIALIZING IN:

Stuckness & emotional dysregulation

Sometimes it is hard to explain but you know something doesn’t feel right. You might be aware that you continue to repeat patterns but your efforts haven’t created lasting change. “Stuckness” in neurobiology occurs when the brain locks us into unproductive and distressing patterns—despite our best efforts to change. Shifting these patterns within the nervous system leads to lasting change.

Trauma & Complex Trauma,PTSD,Vicarious

Your pain is real, and it matters. Trauma touches all parts of your being—emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual—it can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and at times powerless and out-of-control. The impacts of trauma are deeply personal—there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to experience it—there is no measuring tool saying your distress isn’t valid because someone else may have had it worse. You are not weak, lazy, or broken. Trauma symptoms arise from our nervous system’s response to events and stressors. You are not in this alone, together we can restore balance and wholeness.

SUPPORT for therapists

Therapists, I see you. You pour your heart into holding space for others, absorbing the weight of their pain while quietly managing your own. It's a profound calling, but it can take a toll. To continue this important work with passion and resilience, it's vital to prioritize your own nervous system regulation and emotional support, allowing you to renew your energy, prevent burnout, and find greater ease in your life.

WORKPLACE STRESS & Trauma

I understand how overwhelming it can be when you’re juggling workloads, cultures with unclear expectations, navigating challenging colleagues, etc… These pressures can chip away at your energy, confidence, and well-being, leaving you drained and uncertain. Together we will rewire your brain to challenge outdated neuro-patterns, so you can build cutting-edge emotional intelligence skills so you can thrive, not just survive

There are many ways we can experience trauma at work, from boundary violations, to harsh criticism, to feeling trapped. Additionally, sometimes our jobs require us to be face to face with traumatic conditions, Strategies like mind-over-matter, or “tough it out” frequently don’t work because we can’t think our way out of traumatic experiences. Together we will help you build new neural networks to integrate past experiences and real-time tools for current stressors.
